Any Advice on Getting Gigs?

Any advice to getting gigs? I've been a Rover sitter/walker for a month and have only gotten 1 gig, which went very well. I think I have a good profile on the app, and I do more than dogs and cats to include exotics. Any promotion or marketing advice?

I would recommend lowering your prices. I started about two months ago and I’ve been booked every weekend with 2-4 dogs. I started off as the cheapest until I got more reviews and have slowly creeped my prices up. I’d also make sure to have friends, family, and past clients review you!

Make sure your service area is no larger than 10 miles, when I searched Silver Lakes for walkers you didn't show. And I agree with Tyra about rates $18 -$20 should be your starting rate. And for many it takes months to get clients and longer to get repeats

Definitely update/confirm your calendar often! We’ve been seeking sits for about a month and are currently doing our third boarding, have two more lined up for the coming weeks and also a couple drop ins too. We had zero ratings to start with and the only thing I’ve done is stay on top of my calendar.

A few things I suggest: Make sure you have reviews in your profile. Keep rates low as an incentive to get booked. If boarding, request a meet and greet first and get all relevant info then. Ask all clients to do reviews after the stay.
