What to do about food aggression from our client-dog towards our home-dog?
This is our first booking with Rover, and I want it to go well! The 1.5 year old female Australian Shepherd we have with us is a delight, however aggressive around food or bones. Should I feed the dogs simultaneously, but in separate (gated) spaces? Should I try feeding them one at a time (Again, separate and gated?) This has caused a few squabbles between the dogs, and I just want to make sure I'm handling it correctly. Today I fed them simultaneously, but separately, and our client eventually ate (although still tried going after our dog's food.... through the gate).
How to experienced sitters handle meal times? Also the owner said she usually "grazes" on food, however I can't leave her food out or it will become an issue. She is eating well at meal times (and I have let the owner know this).
