Was this a scam? Would you of took the booking?

I had someone request a drop in visit for her two German shepherds. She mentioned that had to go to an interview and apologized for the late notice. I said that was fine and asked how far away she lived to make sure I had enough time on my lunch break to stop by. She mentioned she was in a local Walmart parking lot in a U-Haul Cargo Van (?) and wanted me to come hang out with the dogs in the parking lot while she went to her interview?

I was so unsure, 50% felt it was a real request and 50% felt like I was about to get kidnapped. Any suggestions or advice? I feel bad I canceled the booking and blocked the account and can't decide if she really needed pet assistance or it was a scam?

Background: Her account had been up since 2019, she had 1 verified stay (5 stars), the pictures of herself looked like they were pulled from google but all the pet photos looked real.

While it could have been a legit request, it is 100% understandable that you did not feel comfortable with the situation. I personally would have declined the request as well. Don’t feel bad for not agreeing to do something you are not comfortable with.

Doesn’t sound right to me. I wouldn’t have done it. Very sketchy.
