I found a sitters and would like to cancel pending requests. Also, I have several requests pendig to which the potential sitter has never responded to accept or decline.
How can I remove all these from my In-Box?

There's no way to do so. Call Rover Customer Support at [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team] to complain. Unless customers tell them about website deficiencies, then there's no motivation to improve. This has been a problem since inception.
Rover doesn't appear to make upgrades or update their app. The app is totally inefficient with way too many steps, not user friendly or intuitive. I have customers and sitter complaints all the time.
