How should pet sitters leave the bed at the end of service?

Should I strip the bed AND put linens in the washer? Should I make the bed too?

You should have discussed this with the client so there is no right answer. Send them a text and ask

I wash the sheets and any towels I have used during my stay & remake the bed. I like to be gone when people get home because nobody really wants or needs to deal with someone in their house after a long day of travel. It's my policy to leave the house as I found it so that when the owners come home they don't even know I existed, except for the tank you card I leave along with extra notes that I may have. That way they can just relax back into their life.

*Since I leave before they get back I do let them know that if there are travel delays to let me know and I will return to their house should they need me to.

Hey Debbie, while you can text and ask this...I believe most owners see this as a nice extra that you might do. I personally always strip linens and any hand and kitchen towels I have used and wash and at least have in dryer before I leave. Then I simply let them know either in my leaving message or on a note at the home that the sheets are in the dryer.

Once when a couples flight was arriving around 1 am I had washed sheets earlier in the day and remade the bed and slept on couch until they arrived and went home. Hope this was not to late.
