What service are you offering when taking care of a pet for a certain amount of hours during the day?

I'm being asked to take care of a dog for 5 hours during the day. The owners booked it as House Sitting, but then asked me if it was the correct option, since it felt weird it wasn't per hour. Does this count as a Drop-In visit, charging by each hour, or is it House Sitting?

If it’s only 5 hours, that’s daycare. It’s house sitting if you’re at their house.

After looking at your rates, that makes the most sense. The house sitting rate is supposed to provide up to24 hours of care, but the maximum time shown for walks is only 60 minutes, some sitter would add additional cost adjustment for extended time. Since the need is less than 24 hours, you could, but don’t have to, discount usual house sitting rate. If you offered daycare, they could book it as daycare, with additional request for it to be at their home, but that’s not a service you offer currently.
