I'm curious! What capacity are you at?
Say on a scale from 1-5. 5 being max capacity (no more dogs!) and 1 being no business (all the dogs, please!).

Over the summer, I was constantly booked with many stays even overlapping by a day. I think I had a total of 3 or 4 days where I didn't have at least one dog in the whole 3 months.
As soon as school started, it dropped to almost nothing. I've had several requests, but few bookings. However, people are starting to look toward the holidays and I got my first Thanksgiving request today.
For my available slots, I'm currently at 50% (1 extra dog here and I have 2 slots). I'm also pretty happy with the number of bookings I'm getting and I haven't felt particularly bored or stressed, so I'd say 3 on your scale - pretty much right where I want to be.

Yeah! It's worked out pretty well. I work at my boring (but more lucrative) job 3 days a week and spend a good portion of my days "off" getting paid to hang out with dogs. Well, all my days off if you count my own dogs, but they don't pay me, the little mooches. :)
I'm at a 4.5 I don't want to be any busier.
For the next 4-6 weeks I'm at a 6 on your 1-5 scale. I have two time periods in April that I was at max capacity but a regular wanted to book so I made a full disclosure about the number of dogs here and let them decide if they still wanted to book with us. My teenagers will be off school on Spring Break so they will be here to help otherwise I probably wouldn't do that.
I'm usually at a 3 or 4. I'm just starting my third full month as a Rover sitter though. My first month, I made just about half of what I could make if I had two dogs every single night. It felt very busy and the money is just a bonus for us. When I took a week vacation, the week immediately following was pretty slow. Now I have a ton of requests, and I'm having to turn people down for this weekend and next.

Is there something you do when you're at your 3 to try to bump it up? Like post on CL during the slow times?
I'd say I'm at a 4 at any given moment.
