Paying taxes?

Hi there, I started using Rover in December 2021. I haven't withdrawn any money in 2021. It is now 2022 and I still haven't withdrawn money (but I plan to do so soon). Would I have to report any of the money I made in 2021 (which was about $300), or will I be reporting it for 2022 tax return?

Also, for those living in Canada, are you filling a T2125 form?

To make things even more complicated...I am using the same account with my partner, so I am guessing if we are splitting the money we make 50/50, we would each only be declaring 50% of the total made in Rover?

Rovers system only shows the date and calendar year you withdraw the funds, but according to the US tax code, you must declare the income when it was earned. So in your case 2021 is when you earned the $$
