How do I ask for a Review?

After I sit a dog is there a special button that I need to press to request a review from the client, does rover send them a review request regardless, or do they have to go on the site and find a way to review the stay themselves?

Rover does automatically suggest a review. But if an owner doesn't leave one on their own and I'm confident they were happy with me, I'll text them via Rover and say something friendly about the dog, then say, I find that reviews really help other owners decide which sitters to choose! If you would consider leaving me a 5-star review, I'd be so appreciative!

Usually if I know a client is happy, I ask (via Rover) for them to take the time to write a review. I also include the ability to tip if they want. Most of the feedback I recieved has been positive ( or no feedback). I think it is all in how you present it and request it.

I definitely ask for a review… ‘hey, sorry to bug you, but can I bother you for a review… it really helps my scores… it’s a dog eat dog world out there 😉 Thank you so much!’ I have had them say… ‘oh, yes, I completely forgot… oh by the way, are you available next weekend?’ Cha ching… a great review AND another booking!! 🤩

Sometimes, if I have good rapport with the client and they are super happy with my services, I ask them if they would like to leave a review. That it would be good for my biz. I ask them right after they return and while they are still in the happy phase. (you know, their dog is safe and happy...their home is spotless)
