Have you dealt with a ‘message send failure’ to an owner?

Hi guys! I sent a pic and video to an owner this morning along with “Fido says good morning” but the message failed to send. I sent the message twice and it still didn’t go through. I thought maybe it was my phone so I sent my boyfriend a text and it went through so it’s not my phone. The dog was dropped off yesterday and a week prior, I did have a meet and greet with the owner outside their house on their front porch. Has any sitters dealt with this ’message send failure’ before? I do have an emergency number the owner provided but I don’t want to contact that number just yet because I think this is just a glitch and will text them tomorrow to see if the message fails or goes through. Please let me know your thoughts!

You’re receiving that message because Sending Videos isn’t supported. If I take a video I want to share, and have the owners phone number, I can send it directly to them. You can send photos and messages via the platform. In the rare circumstances where a message doesn’t go through, and you’re unsure if it’s due to the phone, you can log onto rover.com, find the stay, type a message and upload a photo there.

Thank you! I didn’t know videos aren’t supported and I will try logging into Rover to send pics.
