Are my rates too high?

I have been doing Rover a few months and I do have some repeat clients. But overall requests have slowed down a ton over the past few months. I'm not sure exactly what I'm doing wrong. But I really want to keep growing and gaining more clients!

Any help or tips eould greatly be appreciated

I regularly log into Rover online and do a search in my area as if I were a pet owner. This allows me to see where I land in the search queue and what other people are charging.

Taking a quick look at others in your area; yes your rates are higher than the average. Would I drop them? NO!

The holiday season is when the price shoppers want pet care for the lowest price. Build your business with quality clients, trust me

I agree with Walt and Heather. 1-Take a look at what's offered in your area and then decide what is a good price for you! This is your business and if your stay a 12-15 hr stay what does that come back in hourly rate to you? It is a business. Treat it as such. 2-Walt's answer of sorting out QUALITY clients is also very mportant. I have had clients ask me to just charge them one dog for 2 or, etc. These are the clients that are just looking for the cheapest option and tend to give you the most headaches.
I have become pretty discerning when taking clients on which want the best for their pup ( which tend to tip too btw) and those just needing a quick fix to the situation and won't be loyal clients in the long run and may also cause you headaches or bad reviews. Just saying there are all types of clients, beware.

If you are eager to grow your business and gain more clients, then look at what the least expensive "competitors" are in your area, and match (or set yours a dollar or two more than) the lowest rates. And then earn yourself fantastic reviews! You can always raise your rates later as your business picks up momentum and your profile will show lots of happy reviews and re-bookings.
