Why is a client's response still pending when they've claimed that they have already confirmed a booking?

A client who is an IRL friend of mine recently set up a booking with me. Rover is telling me that their response is still pending, but they've told me that they received multiple prompts to confirm the booking and have done so twice. They're trustworthy, so I'm assuming that there's just some step that they may be missing somewhere, but I've never used Rover as a pet owner, so I don't know what to tell them. What might the issue be, and how can it be resolved?

I just had this happen. What we found was her acceptance had not gone through so it was completed at pick up and everything went through

Why is a client's response still pending? Have you clicked to accept the booking? Then they need to click one more time? 99% that's the problem, but if not call Customer Support [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed.
