You need to enter payment information, but are not charged until after the Meet & Greet, when the sitter would accept the booking, and then you would confirm it.

Lie? How? I said you are charged when the sitter "accepts" the booking, then you confirm it. Did you have a M&G? Did the sitter confirm the July dates? Did you then accept it? Then you are charged. I did NOT say that you aren't charged until the time the sitting is done.
No you can set up a meet and greet with the sitter. You do not pay for meet and greets. Those are free visits courtesy of the sitter to make sure they are compatible with your pets. You are not charged until after the visit.
