What are examples of pricing for Drop-ins and walking for visits and all of the additional rates?

So I am new to rover, and am setting up all of my info currently. I know that I am able and willing to do drop in visits, but being that I don't have any experience with the site or its clients, I am so completely clueless on how to fill out and price for drop ins!!!! Can I leave it all blank besides availability, size of dogs etc and just discuss it with potential clients? I would prefer filling it out now honestly! So can anyone recommend anything on pricing?? I know every person is different but I work best from examples lol for dog walking I priced ..... 30 min-$20, 60 min-$35, holiday-$30, add. dog-$10, puppy-$20....... If those seem totally asinine, please let me know what a better pricing point would be! Im used to just overnights and just charging per night, this site is much more specific which is great but im just not used to it! Any help would be MUCH appreciated :) Thanks ya'll!!

I've just looked at your rate table and here are some comments:

1) Under House Sitting, your regular rate is $65/night but your holiday rate is $32. The holiday rate is not something added on to your regular rate but the actual rate that Rover will use. If you want to charge $97/night during holiday periods, then you must enter that number. You'd better fix that right away before someone books you for Thanksgiving or Christmas at a bargain basement rate

2) Under Drop-ins, your regular rate for a 30-minute visit is $20 and for 60 minutes, you have entered $35. That number is an add-on, so it makes no sense. if you want to charge $35 for a one hour drop-in, then you enter +$15 for that option.

3) You're going to give a dog, any dog, a bath for $10? Way too little. That could take an hour of your time. Fortunately you're in a warm climate because if you have to blowdry the dog that's way too much effort for a measly $10.

4) Dog walking - same problem as in #2 regarding amount for additional time.

Please note that I am only commenting on the mechanics of your rate table. With the exception of the bathing one, I can't assess whether the rates you've picked are appropriate for your location. You would have to look on the site for what other sitters in your town charge. Then, because you are new on Rover, it is recommended to lower your rates to attract some initial customers, then wait maybe 6 months or so to raise them up incrementally.

thank you so much for the in-depth response! I was literally so confused when doing pricing and that helps so much! I marked everything as inactive until I get my profile where I would like it to be :) Very much appreciated!

You're welcome. But FYI no one else is going to be able to comment on your rates, except in the abstract, since you deactivated your profile.
