What do you charge for add-on services, like watering a lot of plants, collecting mail, rolling garbage bins out, etc.?
Do sitters charge add-on costs for large amounts of extra work? I don't mind doing a little bit of watering, collecting mail, rolling recycling bins out early in the morning, etc., when I am house-sitting, but some owners ask for a LOT when I am doing check-ins. It's 40 degrees C here (104 F) which is unusual, so I am spending a lot of time doing watering.
Does anyone charge extra for time consuming extras when doing check-ins, and how much do you charge?
Thanks
I think they possibly are taking the michael. They are getting you to do it during your drop-in, rather than pay a cleaner full-time rates. You need to let them know (politely)they are paying for a Rover/pet service, not a house cleaning service. If they want that, you charge different rates.
