Clients wants me to walk dog everyday?

Hello, I have a client asking me to walk her dog everyday at7;30am. I’m not a morning person at all, and i’m also only able to work for Rover part time. I’m searching for other work as well to pay the bills. She originally said at the meet in greet around noon and maybe in the morning a few times a week. I don’t think its realistic for me to work at 7:30 am everyday of the summer. I would like to go out with friends some nights or sleep in. I really don’t know what to do I don’t want to lose this client. Any help would be great!

Unfortunately, you are going to lose that client. If you cannot perform the service she needs at the time she needs, then she will find someone else who can, This is the reality in the pet care business. A client is not going to change his/her needs to make you happy. They are not serving you. You are serving them.

If you have specific service hours, then I suggest you include them in your profile to avoid future misunderstandings about the nature of your services. I know, she originally specified noon, but things change and, if you can't go with the flow, then you should reevaluate whether this is right for you.

So just decline the booking! You may absolutely love cats, dogs, and other pets, but that doesn’t mean you’re cut out to be a pet sitter. while it can be fun and rewarding, it’s not easy, and you can count on the following: · Working way more hours than you’d like. · Working holidays. · Cleaning up nasty things that come out of pets! · Visiting the emergency animal clinic. · Going out in nasty weather because pets are counting on you. · Dealing with difficult pets and owners. · Always having to hustle to market your business so you’ll get new clients.

I urge you to give some serious thought as to whether or not this is the business for you.
