Owner came home early and requested cancellation. Do I need to also cancel?

I am a sitter and a cat owner came home five days early and has already requested a cancellation of future days, which appears to be pending, even though I am scheduled to visit the cat again this morning. Do I also need to request a cancellation for this? This is the first time this has happened. TIA.

Verify the details (dates, etc.) and send a message to the owner as confirmation that you do not need to perform this drop-in. That should cover you. You do not need to do anything else, except make sure whatever refund given is accurate (by noon the day before . She may have to pay for your services on this last day if her cancellation did not occur by noon yesterday. And don't feel like you need to refund her for that. Those are Rover's rules and she agreed to them when she signed up and booked you.

Thanks very much, Karen. Always appreciate your help. I did respond to the owner and we are making plans to return the keys. He was already home when he cancelled and also said that he does not request a refund for the remaining days, but I'm not sure if Rover will go ahead and give him a partial refund or not. I don't know if he handled that on his end already when requesting a cancellation.

What a nice guy! That's a keeper client.

Karen, is there a way for me to contact you privately? I have a question that I prefer not to post publicly.

I have messaged you through the regular/sitter system, which is the only way unfortunately.
