What do you charge for......?

Hi, What do you charge a client who wants you to sit their dog for 4 hours straight in their home? Do you charge them a one night fee or multiple your drop in rate? I want to find a good medium that makes it worthwhile for the me as well as the client. Thank you

If it were me I would charge them my daily boarding rate, charging by the hour gets too tricky and too expensive.

I agree with the previous commenter about charging the boarding rate, unless you would have to decline other bookings in order to fulfill this request. As the first commenter remarked, demand is also relevant.

Arizona's minimum wage is $12/hour, and Rover will be taking 20% of that. If you can't go out and walk or check on other dogs, then they need to pay for your exclusivity.

Based on frequency of services needed, my calendar, and the dog(s) being cared for, I've handled that couple ways: by pro-rating a daycare fee and/or charging as no more than my regular walking rate (for one regular who often needed 4 walks/day, instead of going back & forth between 2 walks)

Your 60 minute rate though is about the same as your House Sitting 24 hour rate, and you don't offer daycare, so if I was the client, I might expect that you'll charge $33-35 for any amount of time over 60 minutes up to 24 hours.

Do you charge double for second dog? Or is it a household price?

Given your low rates, I would charge for each pet. The additional ones could be discounted 50%.
