How do I add a service for daycare at the owner's home??

Hi! So I have a dog owner who wants me to watch their dog from 10 am to 4 pm while nobody is home. I'm fine with doing that, I just am not sure how to add this to my services on Rover so that they can pay me. I currently offer dog walking, house sitting, and drop-in visits. This service seems the most like the daycare service to me, so should I add the daycare service to my account? I'd be a little worried about doing that because I can't provide daycare at my home, which seems to be what the service on Rover is geared towards. I don't want to mislead any clients accidentally. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Depending how far out this service is for, you could potentially turn on day care service, book it, and then turn it off. Another option would be to book it as one of the other services mentioned, apply a Cost Adjustment so the total shows the rate agreed upon and use the rover messaging field to state the hours agreed upon.

If you want to offer daycare service in other people' s homes, you could definitely mention that in your profile, but there's no guarantee that profiles are read closely.

I would read this article as it tells you how to manage the services you offer https://support.rover.com/hc/en-us/arti…

Since your rate is so low, just book it as house sitting, with the times noted in your messaging with the client, getting their acknowledgment that the charge reflects the time period 10 am - 4 pm. Also, I don't know if you plan to walk or do drop-ins for other dogs while you are supposed to be at the home, but if you are be sure you get it in writing.. Frankly, I wouldn't lower your house sitting rate unless you've researched it your local area But remember, you are providing a higher level of service than commercial doggie daycares because you are doing it for only one dog and at the client's location, That's 6 hours of your time for only $24. Do the math.

I don't know how you provide normal house sitting and if your rate involves 24 hours of care for $24 or if you only come to the house in the evening and leave in the morning or if you come back throughout the day to walk, feed or play with the dog, but $24 is low for 24 hours of complete care.
