Should I add a charge for each drop in visit during the day that the client requests during house sitting bookings where I am staying the night at the clients house as well? Or is the house sitting fee all inclusive?

I am new to Rover and am trying to be fair to clients with pricing but also don't want to overwork myself for little money. A few of my clients have booked house sitting days with me where I will stay the night at their house, but have also requested that I also drop in a few times a day during those days (which is completely logical and reasonable of course). I am wondering if I need to also charge them for those "drop ins" or if the house sitting fee includes all of those other types of services.

Rover defines House Sitting as overnight, up to 24 hours. I agree your House Sit rate s.b. higher and suggest 3x$16. Or you can explain house sit rate covers care between the hours of __ & __, with daytime walks added to the booking ( all-inclusive rate vs. low rate with add-ons) BTW:puppy rate=less

There is a wide range of interpretation among Rover sitters about what constitutes house sitting. Some will move in but also do drop-ins and walks for other dogs using the client's home as a base of operation. Others may only be there from 7 pm to 7 am and have regular full-time jobs. Some will check in on the dog in the middle of the day; some may charge you extra for a drop-in visit or walk.

As Deb wrote, Rover defines each "night" of house-sitting as good for up to 24 hours of care, just like boarding. If you plan on providing something different, then it should be outlined in your profile and you should go over it with prospective clients before booking. Everyone should understand the parameters of the service being booked and you should understand and agree to the client's expectations. If you want to charge a la carte, then you need to explain it to the client beforehand.

House sitting should be considered a "premium" service because you are not only watching a pet but also the home and may be asked to do little tasks like taking in the mail, watering plants, etc. A client should be paying much more for you to uproot yourself and move into their home.

I agree you should raise your rate as Deb suggested and adjust that puppy rate, which should always be more.
