How's Business?

Hey Sitters,

With Covid n all that we have all seen a slowdown, but how has your business been. Have you found any creative ways to keep business going?

My regular client kept me on and I still take care of her dogs. I've only had 1 new request since the lockdown and that was 2 days ago. I'm ok with it - there's already a resurgence going on and I won't sit for anyone I do not know very well.

I only offer walks and I shut down the 3d week of March; so far not even one inquiry off the Rover platform. Honestly, I don't think it will improve for a long, long time.

I am not yet ready to risk my health by doing Rover walks right now. I might open my calendar soon though. I know some of my customers are working from home. They may continue that even though our County will fully open soon. I may have lost all my customers to working from home trends.

Fortunately, my regulars for Day Care and Walks continued at about 75%, travel-related boarding went to zero. Then there were a couple boardings in the June, early July timeframe. Then, about 3 weeks ago (beginning of August), inquiries exploded. I have had to decline several. September is filling up quickly.

It really died down and only my regular walks stayed with me for the first few months but since everyone is going on vacations again my rover has exploded with sitting and boarding requests!
