Anyone else get a phishing scam?

Hey y'all this is a heads up Got a call today from "Rover Support" saying in a couple minutes a sitting request was going to come through from an "Ashley S" and to immediately deny it because it was a noted spam account. He continued saying that because we were sent this request that our account was flagged and that since Rover's partnership with PayPal was going to inactive for 3 months that we would have to connect a CashApp or Venmo. My husband looked at me and said absolutely not especially over the phone. I said I had Venmo and received an automated text from "Venmo" asking for my username and password to link with a confirmation code. The guy was extremely persistent trying to get the confirmation code while I questioned his legitimacy and my husband called Rover Support directly. He asked if I had not received the code and said he had a badge number if that helped. I wrote down the badge number and said my husband was on the line with Rover support to verify his story and his response was priceless, "I am going to drop this phone call" We were able to give the phone number and "badge number" (Rover support does not use badge numbers) to the support person and she was extremely nice and at the time we had gotten the request the guy said to deny originally because it flagged our account. Support was able to see that the number that called was the spoofed number from that account so the scammer did not have my direct phone number. She took all the info and passed it onto the spam/phishing team and recommended we change our password. I hope we were first people they did this to because they got shut down. Just want people to know, scams are going around. Stay safe y'all

I'm new but I did receive a request that seemed fishy. The profile was blank and they were insistent on communicating through email. I flagged it and reported them to Rover.

SCAM, SCAM, SCAM. Your best bet is to report it directly to Rover and NEVER EVER give out personal information to someone you don't already know
