Does this sound like a scam?

I was contacted by a woman to sit her dog; the profile she set up for her dog had minimal information on it. She hadn't even filled out whether her dog is neutered and likes children, etc. Also, no photos on her profile. I thought this meant either she was very new to Rover or didn't care much about her dog. My friend suggested this may be a scam. When I asked the pet parent if she would like to do a meet and greet to see how our dogs interact, she asked where I wanted to meet.

Do you think this is a scam? Has this happened to you?

Susan, I just took a look at your rates. For Boarding, your puppy rate is lower than your regular one. It is not a surcharge. You need to enter the exact amount for the billing to be done correctly. *waving at you from Old Town*

Thank you for pointing that out! I will fix it. Hello from Rogers Park :)

No, it does not sound like a scam. Many clients don't take the time to fill in the relevant information about their dog, don't think it is important, or can't figure out how to do so. I always ask them to complete it because there may be deal-breaker issues like the dog isn't house-broken and uses pee pads and I don't want to waste anybody's time. Just ask politely and emphasize that you need to know some basics before everyone commits to a M&G.
