Many sitters do purchase their own insurance. It really depends on your circumstances. Are you going to board dogs or just provide traveling services, like walking or drop-ins. If you are boarding them, then you might get your homeowners insurance policy revoked. Do some searches here about insurance. You will also find recommendations on providers.
