waivers or contacts for off leash dog walking & when pet sitting at home for no contagious sickness ?

if clients have requested to have their dog off lease while walking and if dog sitting at your own house does rover have a waiver clients can sign so we rant responsible if something happens and to agree that their dog doesn't have anything contagious to keep my own dogs safe ? or are we able to create our own waiver for each ?

It is NEVER a good idea for dog walker to walk dog off leash. Never. Ever. 1. The dog doesn't know the dog walker and will not have same level of obedience 2. You never know when a squirrel or dog or other animal will come along 3. You never know when a person will come along. Some people are afraid of dogs and start running causing dog to chase. Some people are evil and sill try to steal the dog. 4. If you're by a street a car could easily hit dog due to not seeing them, causing severe injury even death 5. That's the fastest way to lose a dog.

I'm not aware of any waivers provided by Rover. I've made my own and clients actually appreciate the extra step. It's better to be safe then sorry! Google some pet sitter form templates to get a better idea of what you need personally for how you run your business.

This may not applicable to you because it doesn't show that you're a Rover sitter but Rover TOS 3. Compliance with Applicable Law states service providers need to be in compliance with laws and where I live there are leash laws that apply. So, even if a pet parent tells me they walk their dog off leash, we discuss that I will not do so and only provide care for dogs who will walk leashed to take care of business.
