If I can only pet sit on weekends do you think I'd get any clients?

I have school in September and could I pet sit at like 2? How do I show that on my calendar that I am busy in the mornings?

It may be difficult to get clients with limited availability. I work a regular, boring job 3 days a week and can't sit on those days, and I know that it affects the number of requests I get, even though I don't work at all weekends. How you handle your calendar is up to you - you could leave yourself available on days when you're busy in the mornings, but make it clear in your profile (for the percentage of people who read your profile before requesting) that you are only available in a certain window. Conversely, you can mark those days as unavailable and again, put your hours of availability in your profile. Either one comes with advantages or disadvantages - on the one hand, you'll end up turning down a lot of requests because the client didn't see the hours you weren't available, and on the other you'll never get some requests you might have been able to take because you won't show up in the search results.

You cant show your hours availability on your calendar only the days that you are available. You just have to receive the request then explain to them your schedule and they will let you know if that works for them.

Most customers are fine with limited availability for visits.

I think it's worth it. My first few requests were just for weekends. You can also clearly state your available hours at the top of your profile. Make sure to respond promptly to all requests, even if it's to say no. Having the app on my phone has made it really easy for me to respond to all queries quickly. Use the calendar functions to keep it as up to date as you can (i.e. no overnights on any weekday, etc.) I believe Rover also allows you to select your availability for walks and visits, so only select the hours that will work for you.

I think that you have to start small, new clients are willing to book with you for short stays in the beginning to see how it goes. It's a good way to get a feel of how you like it and if you schedule can handle it. Just be upfront and make sure your calendar is always up to date. If you can't cover a day, be honest. I started a year ago with just weekend stays and since then have been able to handle long-term stays. As long as you keep in communication with them and let me know if you can't handle a request, you will grow your business in no time. Good luck!
