do you guys give a goody bag every time you pet sit a client even if its a repeat client?

I am wondering how many times you give a goody bag home or leave it at the pet's house because i have a repeat client and i am wondering if i should make another goody gift bag with a thank you card yes or no?

I wouldn't keep giving a goody bag or thank you card to repeat clients. The cost will add up for you and they will tire of the cards. You might still do it for holidays! I have fun making dog themes 😂 but quality service and communication is what they really want

Do you only do it for dogs you watch at the holidays or do you send clients from the year goody bags? We are interested in sending little treat bags for holidays but not sure how since we don’t have any direct contact with them

Like Walt, I also don't give goody bags or cards. Instead, I tend to give lots of extra care (spend extra time on walks& visits, tidy up pups, and even accidents spotted in their home), dog guests benefit from more walk opportunities and care/affection time than they get from their pet parents as well as pre-approved healthy treats that I prepare. Repeat guests may also get light touch up grooming and transportation services, with customary additional waived. The parents of dogs I care for appreciate all those service related things far more than goody bags.

I do goody bags and a thank you card for the first visit. My repeat clients get gift baskets for the Christmas/Hannukah/ Kwanzaa holidays and a smaller gift box for their birthday/gotcha day.

Nope not even with the first booking do I give a goody bag or even a card. I'm more prone to give something to frequent clients. However, many sitters do give something every visit, it's what you feel comfortable with.

Personally, I always make a little goody box for clients that board or do day care. I usually have way too many treats on hand, through either my family or bark box, so its a nice way to use them. I use a little disposable lunch box that has separate compartments and put treats, a printed copy of their labels and ingredients, and my business cards. I find that my clients really appreciate the gesture.

I never even thought of goody bags or cards! For my repeat clients, especially the dogs that are really well-behaved, I usually give a discount every once in a while or I have locked in an older price for them so they don't pay as much. I tend to keep treats on hand and give those (if it's ok with the owners) to the dogs, as well as have all kinds of toys and stuff for them to play with while they are with me. For most clients, the first couple of days I give them super thorough updates and at least 2 or 3 pics. Then I give them daily updates and at least 1 or 2 pics a day, depending on the owner's needs and how many times I've had the dog. I personally feel that is sufficient. But as Walt said, it's really up to you. Good Luck!

I do discounts, too! I also have my rates slightly higher than other sitters in my area with a started statement that they can be negotiated. Clients love to get you down on your rates. I also offer monthly rates for my clients that want a drop in or walk several times per week.

My profile shows 2 repeat clients, but I have 16. After initial stay or visit, most want to pay with venmo, cash, check, etc. No one really trusts PayPal anymore. I dont blame them! I've been hacked and robbed 4 times.

I give a goodie bag for new clients only which consists of a thank you note, an all natural treat from the local Pets Supplies Plus and a poop bag holder (I bought clear labels and print my name, phone number and URL on them and stick above the Rover logo and put clear nail polish over it all to give it a better chance of sticking). It's amazing how many people don't even acknowledge the gift, but from the number of repeat clients I've had, I'd say its worth the extra attention.

I use barkbox treats! Wheat/soy/grain/corn free and I'm in the United States and they're made right here.
