owner cancellation after stay has begun?

I just had an owner decide after 24 hours that she wanted her daughter to pick up the dog from my house and watch the dog for the rest of the time the owner was away. I had arranged business trips around the scheduled stay and declined invitations for other activities during the stay, because I promise owners that I will be home with their dog the entire time of their stay. I had no opportunity to book other dogs during the time that the owner cancelled. Receiving 50% of the fee for the remainder of the scheduled time is poor compensation. Rover needs a cancellation option that allows dog sitters to be paid 100% of the total fee if the owner cancels after the stay has already begun. The way Rover's cancellation policy is phrased implies that sitters will be fully compensated once the stay begins. Your "strict" policy accounts for cancellations by noon one week before the stay begins, and it accounts for cancellations after 12 noon one week before the stay begins. You need to expand your existing options or create a new option that explicitly covers cancellations once the stay has begun. I have a regular job. I pity the people who depend on Rover for a living. This is more trouble than it's worth.
