how do i find a sitter by name?
Looking for a sitter by first name....is there a way to query this?

Unfortunately, there's no way to search by name on the Rover site. Another way to do this is to Google the sitter's first name and last name initial, like yours Elaine M, then put in the city/state and the word Rover. That usually works.
I won't use Rover because pet owners can't search sitters by name. Throttling that option is totally unethical and not cool.

Have you communicated this to Rover? Called them or written them to complain that you want this capability? Customers have to tell Rover what they need; otherwise, Rover thinks everything is just fine. Rover doesn't listen to its sitters, but maybe if customers would complain...
I am able to see my past customers and requests. I wonder what customers see, can you find past bookings and requests? Try to snoop around.
if you have used a sitter in the past and want to use them in the future. hit the heart and this puts them in your favorite sitter section. Hope this helps
