What do most of you consider an overnight?

From when to when? I have a client who thinks it should be EARLY evening to LATE morning. How do you all handle this? I am new to overnights.

Comments

My standard overnights are 7pm to 1 hour after we wake up and includes a mid day visit. If my clients want me earlier I charge more, customized visits. I let my client choose, we discuss the needs for pets and whatever the client wants, it just cost a bit more. Hope this helps

What do you mean by overnights? I see that you only offer drop-ins and walks, neither of which requires you stay over at the home.

If you are considering providing the Rover house-sitting service, then each "night" includes up to 24 hours of care for the pet. Some clients will require that you stay overnight in their home; others may not. But this needs to be discussed with the client. House sitting should always be considered a premium service, having a premium price because not only is the customer getting pet care but the home is being occupied as a security measure, Some clients may even ask you to perform minor tasks like watering plants, etc. But all that needs to be discussed.

Since not all sitters stay at the home, many will arrive early evening and leave in the morning after they've taken care of the pet. Then they will go to their regular full-time job or head off to walk or provide drop-ins for other clients. Then they will return during to the house during the day to walk the dog.
