Is there an easy way to understand the calendar?

Am I the only person here who finds the calendar confusing?? It makes no sense to me, I've read over the calendar basics numerous times, I put a minus on my calendar for every dog I board for every day, but that just doesn't come out right. If I put a plus for every dog I'm boarding that doesn't come out right either.
Am I just making this harder than it is, or does any one else also find it confusing??

Many sittes wil agree with you that the calendar isn't the easiest thing to understand. One thing to note is that Rover automatically adjusts your calendar when you receive booking requests, here is an example: If you have your global boarding set at 3 per day and receive a booking your availability for that day changes to 2 if you receive another booking your availability changes to 1. If you accept a booking with multiple dogs from one client many sitters will manually adjust their caendar to 1 slot available. Hope this helss

It sounds like Walt answered your question and that you were physically marking when someone booked, when the way it works is that what you are marking is how many slots you want to fill, then Rover automatically updates your number when you book or a booking is cancelled. I rarely update that piece - occasionally I will up the number so that a long-time client can book and it puts me over the number of dogs I'll take or I know I have a challenging dog or personal stuff and want to decrease my availability or mark myself unavailable. What I would love is to be able to see who is booked on any given day without having to looked at my linked calendar in google or clicking to other areas or other buttons. :) Good luck!!

Lisa, can you tell me how you linked your google calendar, or do you do it manually? I am trying to figure out how to easily see my upcoming holiday schedule but it seems like I'm just going to have to write everything out manually or type into a calendar app...
