Where do you put additional rates?

asked 2018-11-14 23:55:09 -0500

I’m thinking about charging a little more for sittings with less than 24 hour notice and then definitely adding a fee for daycare after the 24hr period for house sitting. For those who do, what section do you state the prices in your profile?

Since you only have a short, one-paragraph "About" section in your Profile, I would add a a NOTE: (all caps) at the end, in which you discuss additional fees for last-minute bookings and that those fees will be added to the booking request before you accept.

Everybody else's advice still holds.

Rover's rate sheet does not have any place to put the rates you are asking about. Additional rates besides the initial request should be discussed at the M&G and any additional charges must be agreed to by both parties. You can edit the total amount of the stay before confirming and enter extra charge amounts as a cost adjustment.

So it is common to charge clients additional rates without any hint to them on your profile?

You should always list additional charges not shown on the Rover rate sheet in your profile. But as a precaution, also mention them to the client either in your initial message or at the M&G, depending on the circumstances.

That’s what I’m asking about. Where in your profile do you list them? In your bio or in one of the additional spaces? I didn’t know it would take this long to get an answer to my question...

In your bio section. There really is nowhere else to put it.

Navigate here https://www.rover.com/account/profile... Each service has the provision to add additional fees. You also have the ability to modify the booking rate before you accept the booking. Additional charges should be discussed with the client at the meet and greet and the adjustment agreed to by the client..

Okay, but where should I add the things I specifically asked about? If you look at my profile, you would see that I already have the rates you showed me how to add.
