Supplements in goody bags?

I am thinking about adding a goody bag to my regulars after a stay or drop by. I was wondering what you all thought of adding supplements? (Say you know the dog is taking a daily treat for strong hips/bones), would it be ok to buy a The Honest Kitchen product or higher quality product (healthier option) they could also add as well? I am into learning about raw feeding or home cook meals, and thought adding something healthy but also yummy would be nice. Thank you for your advice

I think samples of high quality dog food (like a freeze dried raw food), natural or fancy treats and supplement samples in a goody bag are a good idea. Don't be offended if your client doesn't want them though! Some dogs are sensitive and some owners are too. I'd make sure the samples are actual packets of sample size and not just a full size pack you broke up into ziploc baggies.

Thank you so much! I guess I was meaning for the goody bags to be healthier options, not necessarily supplements (I think I was confused on my post trying to distinguish). Thank you for the encouragement!

Sounds good to me. Who would say NO to a bag of Stella and Chewy freeze dried lamb patties? :D

When it comes to supplements, you should just buy the ones they are taking currently. My dog is on DASUQUIN MSM and I wouldn't want to receive from my dog walker cheaper imitation.

I understand you mean well, but I don't think it would be good to offer supplements that are different than the ones they are currently using.

Even though it's a kind gesture, I'd advise against that. At least in my area, it seems a lot of pet parents believe they're doing the right thing for their pets (and the best they can do) with regards to nutrition and medical. So, they would not appreciate external input Unless they specifically ask. The exception to this is if you've ever discussed these types of things before with them and they expressed any interest in learning more.
