Help w/ clients?

I have been on Rover since the summer and I haven't been receiving any clients. I am background checked, have answered as many questions as possible and have added lots of photos. I love dogs but I am not able to have one permanently, because my complex isn't susceptible, long term. I was wondering how I could possible gain more clients and start building relationships.

Hi, I looked at your profile. I'm a bit of a newbie to Rover, but I did see several things that would catch my eye as a client. Here's the breakdown: -Your first sentence talks about the name being wrong. Get it corrected, or lose the sentence. -Don't list what sizes you CAN'T take. Make it about what you CAN (ex "I specialize in small animal care" -You say you can give 2 hour potty breaks but then say you have work and school. Clients read this and think "she can't do both" -"must be leash trained" - that eliminates most potential clients!

(These things are in addition to what Walt G mentioned).

I'm trying to be as helpful as I can, this is meant to help you get business. If I were a looking for a sitter, the details in your profile would cause me to look elsewhere. Make the most out it, look at profiles of sucessful sitters and learn. Hope you find success!

First thing I noticed about your profile is you have zero reviews, that is the kiss of death so ask your friends and family to write testimonials for you. Also, take and pass the Rover 101 quiz and get the badge it is very important. Make sure to update and refresh your calendar several times a week as it puts a good flag on your profile. Also, your living situation may hinder you but it's not improbable you will gain clients as the holiday season approaches as that is typically a busy time of the year for sitters. Best of luck
