What are reasonable rates to start out with for each service?

I'm just wondering what reasonable rates are to start out with for each service. I don't want to put the rate too high, but I don't want it to be too low either. Any suggestions help!

I stayed with the defaults at first. The Rover recommendation is to start out a couple dollars below the top sitters in your area. Once you have a client base, and more positive reviews, you can bump it up.

I bought into the theory that if you should set your rates lower than other sitters in your area and it did work so after a few months I had quite a few bookings and repeat clients, after that I raised my rates to be competitive with local pet care companies vs what other Rover sitters were charging as I felt they are too low and today still too low. Also your rates should be determined by whether you consider Rover to be a real business or just a side gig to pick up a few bucks occasionally. Best of luck
