I would recommend keeping your calendar updated. When I started, I let this go by the wayside. As a result, I had to turn down my first few key requests, which affects your place in search rankings a lot when you don't have any prior sittings to improve your booking scores. A year later I'm doing fine with a steady stream of new clients, but it took me four months to actually book my first visit. Also, if you have any off-Rover clients or friends with doggos, try asking them to book with you on Rover the next time they need dog-sitting. Good luck!
Honestly, you can start getting bookings right away or it could take months or in some cases never. Lots of variables, what services do you offer, what is your availability, how far are you willing to travel to a clients home, and finally how good is your profile and pictures. You should visit the Help Section and look up how to market your business. Best of luck
There is no way to say for sure. It will happen when someone finds your profile and decides to contact you. It will depend a lot on what services you are offering and your location and prices. I also think having reviews helps a lot so if you've pet sit in the past I would ask your clients to leave you are review.
I got my first request in like a week. I had full availability for all services and I had 3 reviews on my profile from pet siting clients outside of rover that i've been working with for a long time now.
You can also post on craigslist and other social media to get profile views.
