I’ve had clients leave their door unlocked, hide a key or I had a client that had a fenced yard and left a back door in the house opened so if someone wanted to break in they had to use quite a bit of effort. Others have smart locks and I just call them when I’m there and lock it myself when I go

If that is the only way into your house, then you will have to give the sitter a key or use a lockbox. Some people have coded garage doors that sitters use.
