Negligence claim against me by client?

I’ve been pet sitting for several years even before rover and even my testimonies and 55 5 star reviews show the amount of care I provide My previous house sitting I was taking care of three dogs I cleaned and fed and walked them as requested and required One thing that wasn’t mentioned is that one of the dogs was highly aggressive towards me but I managed to take her out even getting bitten several times I took care of them to the best of my own ability but when they arrived I was accused of negligence and even accused that the carpets were stained dog urine but I cleaned and never showed proof of even that simple accusation

I have never once dealt with a negative client towards me until today and I feel that this will affect my business. Even many of my clients would vouch for me that I would never even consider neglect or lack of care.

There was also dishonesty from he owners themselves about the dog but I never even knew until I went there the first day so I managed the best that I could and I just feel devastated to even be accused of something like this.

I have contacted rover support so I’m hoping to resolve this issue because this doesn’t represent who I am as a sitter Has anyone ever had accusations like this? It makes me feel so worthless and the gull that people have

I would not communicate with the owner any more. Now that you have contacted Rover, they should handle the situation from here on. I know how you must feel, and I would not take it personally. Do not feel guilty if you did everything you said. Sometimes you do your best and that just isn't good enough. Read over your reviews and positive feedback from your previous clients to bolster your confidence and remember that you have provided excellent service in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

Thank you so much I highly appreciate the confidence boost Currently I sent my statement in to the rover team so I hope to get this out of the way and never have to deal with a client like that again. My only regret is not looking too deeply into it but lesson learned

You know the old saying “You can please some of the people all of the time, you can please all of the people some of the time, but you can’t please all of the people all of the time”.” Sorry, you ran into an issue with this client but don't get discouraged! Just keep on doing what you have been doing successfully during your pet care career and let the naysayer drift off in the wind. Continued good luck

Thank you very much and I will continue to do so as many of my clients even said there is now way I’d do any of these things I would also notify if there was any damage It’s hard to believe I left the house clean as always but yet there is damage somehow Hard to believe some people’s attitude
