How long should we expect our sitter to keep our dogs?

We are going on vacation and plan on going to a couple of amusement parks. We're wondering based on the price how many hours we should leave our dogs with the sitter? We are fine leaving the parks and picking our dogs up spending some time with them then leaving them in in the evening for a few hours to go back to the parks. This will be our first time and we don't want to leave them too long so that the sitter feels they are underpaid. TIA

It isn't really clear what type of sitting job you have booked or are planning on booking.

Are you doing daycare for the dog or have you arranged full boarding? It does make a difference. If you've booked full boarding, then the sitter is being paid for up to 24 hours of care. If it is daycare, then the typical time is 7-8 am dropoff, with pickup at about 5-6 pm. Each sitter might have his/her own hours established for this service.

Every sitter on Rover is independent and makes their own rules, so you may come across a lot of variations with respect to what is included in boarding.

The best thing to do is discuss this with the sitter you've selected. It is lovely that you are trying to be considerate and not take advantage of the sitter.

Overnight boarding = up to 24hrs. You can book this service with the sitter you choose, you discuss EVERYTHING prior to booking, your expectations and days and hours, and you will pay in advance the rate your chosen sitter charges. If you are worried they may feel underpaid, you can always tip them :) Good luck :)
