What to do about misleading reviews?

I got my first review last November and was a little annoyed by it and now im starting to think it is hurting me booking wise. The dog owner told me after she dropped her dog off for one night not to worry about sending updates or pictures updates ( this was one of my first few overnight stays as most i had were daycare dogs) after I told her i would update her. she told me she knew her dog would be fine and well behaved and since i figured she didnt want to be bothered i didnt update her till she told me she was on her way back and would be there in a couple hours. i let her know her dog was doing great and we loved having her in our home..anyway in the review she states how i didnt send her any updates or picture messages and i worry thats hurting me and its also the review thats shown when people look at sitters to book. I have 2 other reviews. im not sure what to do and would really really appreciate some advice.

You can always contact Rover Support @ [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team] but I doubt they will do anything to remove the review. I always tell my clients I will send one update with a picture each and every day. And you always have the option to respond to the review on your profile, just keep it upbeat, even apologetic and thank them for the opportunity to care for their pup - that may defuse their negativity. Best of luck

I wouldn't worry at all. I don't think that particular review would be hurting you in any way. Obviously the person was happy with your care, because if she wasn't, she would make sure to describe it in detail :)

If you have any other clients I would ask them to write a review for you that way it's not the first one shown. If not, then ask people that know you to complete testimonials for your profile will help as well.
