I do not want to go stay at someone's house as I am a stay at home mom. However, I would like to promote my dog walking services and do not want to charge the same rate as if I were hosting a dog overnight. I do not see the option to set a different price for this?
You can set up both a "Dog Hosting" (in your home) and a "Dog Sitting" (in owner's home) profile with different types of rates for each service.
I would suggest setting up a Dog Sitting Profile, I believe Rover calls it Traveling Sitter, saying that you can visit the dog in their home and provide walking and other services on a daily basis. You can set your rates there - there is one for dog walks.
I don't believe there is an option. I know a lot of people would like that to be an option though! I have read that some people explain on their profile that they charge $X for dog walking but since there is no dog walking option, to please book an overnight stay and then you can adjust the rate to whatever you decide your dog walking rate would be! Would be a lot easier if this was just an option! :) hope this helps!!
Actually, I was kind of wrong. Go to dashboard-edit profile-dog sitting profile- services and rates. There is a dog walking option there where you can put in a specific rate. But I still am not 100% sure how or if someone can book just dog walking with you?
