Can you message clients on Rover still if you’re suspended?

So I got suspended yesterday because I continued to keep in contact with one of my first clients who I dogsat her puppy for (which I got paid in cash and yes I’m regretting it now). I’m in the process of getting my account reinstated, but I’m not sure if I can still message clients because I can still receive texts from my previous clients but I’m not sure if they get my responses. The only reason I’m asking is because I did a meet and greet with a couple yesterday and if my suspension lasts more than a week (I’m dogsitting next weekend) I don’t want them to think I’m flaking or anything, like I’d like to be able to explain why I’m unavailable now. Has anyone experienced this and can shed some light?

For the correct answer to your question, you need to call Rover support @ [Edit: Rover’s contact options have changed. Visit the Rover Help Center at https://support.rover.com/ to find the phone number, help articles, or chat with the team]. Hope you learned your lesson and never mention cash on the platform.

Yes, you are still able to contact the client, however, Rover will not allow you to book the client. They typically recommend that you do let the owner know the situation, than advise them to reach out to another sitter and/or have the owners contact Rover Support if they are having a hard time finding a replacement sitter and they would be happy to set them up with sitters in their area.
