Recommendations for pet sitting insurance companies?

Hi everyone, I've noticed Rover has changed the wording on what they used to refer to as "Premium Insurance". It is now called the "Rover Guarantee" and says that it will kick in if the sitter is "not willing or able" to pay for any costs after going through mediation. Because of this, I've decided I will need to get my own pet sitting policy. Through my googling, it seems like PetCare insurance is the best deal I've found. Does anyone else use them and have any input? Or does anyone else use a different comapny?

I ended up signing up with a policy. One thing people should know is that if you are hosting dogs in your home, you need Kennel insurance, because pet sitting insurance generally only covers you at other people's homes.

Allie your answer is partially incorrect, all the 4 major providers have options for boarding in your home

You know I accepted the 20% take from rover as o.k. they are offering the insurance. But now why even use Rover. And the tip thing. Basically Rover is more of an advertising source.

Rover has left us out to dry with the change in the program, the Guarantee provides no sitter liability and has other shortcomings. You can purchase your own policy for as little as $130 a year!!

There are 4 primary pet business insurance companies for US-based businesses. All of the insurance carriers are very responsive. Make a list of all your questions and ask them of all. Personaly I have a policy with PSA.

Thanks Walt, I agree. It's pretty amazing that a company that seems to be expanding so quickly would do this, and I definitely do enough business where I need to be covered in the event of something happening. I think Kennel Pro seems to have what I am looking for. Its $425 a year but covers in-home

It totally befuddles me too!!
