Clients profile has been flagged??

I had responded to a visit request and haven't received a response yet from the owner. But now there is a notification saying not to communicate with the dog owner/client because of suspicious activity. Has anyone else had this happen before?

Yes Why did I not know he was flagged until after our long conversation. ICK

It's far to easy to create a Rover profile as an owner, and at times bogus accounts are created to SPAM sitters with booking requests, once its reported the account is flagged. SPAM booking request usually contain long winded and goofy text, they offer to pay you by the hour, they say they are out of state and coming to your area, and the list goes on. Best of luck to you

Thank you! This just helped me, I just had a similar message offering me to come for 3 hours 3 times a week & they could not meet for a meet & greet because they are moving into the state still. Sometimes in the message they would call the pup a he and other times she and all the messages were long

Agree with Walt above. I just had this happen. This was the guy's message:

"Will you be available to walk Teddy and Cody from Oct 28th – 30th Oct? I just got a new job in CT so I will be relocating very soon and I will be needing your help in walking Teddy and Cody after work or before depends on your schedule. If you are interested please kindly email me at danielbasler@oneillwine.net for more details. Please detail your address to know if I will be comfortable with the distance. I will be expecting your email as I won’t be on here for the rest of the day, only respond to email while at work. Note: This might be a continuous walking."

Seemed really weird to me. He wants MY address even though I'd be coming to HIS place for the walkings. And wants me to communicate with him outside the app before even meeting me? Weirdo. Glad Rover alerts us to these profiles! I hit Decline and Archive. Beware of spammers!
