I do. And like most boarding facilities in my area, I ask that bordatella be updated every six months. We require vet records to prove vaccination history and keep a copy to have on hand for the dog's file.

Every sitter here is an independent contractor and sets his/her own rules. Rover only states that pet vaccinations should meet local legal requirements, which means for rabies.

Ask your sitter. I require all new owners to provide proof of vaccination and all dogs must have one for bordetella as well. Most of the boarding and daycare facilities now require immunization for canine influenza as well because there were major outbreaks a couple of years ago. However, most vets will tell you that the shot is actually no guarantee of protection, so I haven't made it a requirement.

Read the sitter profiles and ask if they require proof of vaccination and against which conditions.
