Hi fellow sitters, I need HELP! I have been on here for about a month and have done everything I feel, got testimonials, bio, pics and publicized. I have been reading advice but still have nothing. I feel like I have done everything. Thanks soooo much fellow sitters and hope to hear answers soon!
Having a great profile and pictures are the secret sauce to getting bookings. Looking at your profile, well your pictures aren't very good nor appealing to potential clients. No one really likes selfies with a smoosh face!!
Drop-ins and walks are the least booked services and depending on your location may not be a service the client base wants.
You need to take and pass the Rover 101 quiz, it is important
You say you have a flexible schedule but having all your weekends blocked is a sure way not to attract clients
One testimonial isn't enough so you need to ask friends and family to help
You have set your service area too large it actually hurts you in showing up in searches, consider making it a few miles smaller.
The biggest thing I noticed in your about me section is you are planning to go to graduate school - well congrats - but stating that doesn't give me a feeling you will be around long to care for my pups.

Have you considered adding another service like boarding? I had just drop in visits and dog walking in the beginning and didn't get any clients for 2 months until I added boarding. You can always block it out later on once you get clients for dog walking and drop in visits. It would probably at least get your foot in the door and help you get reviews. Plus, boarding is really popular this time of year. Good luck! :-)
I would suggest at least 4 more testimonials, and more photos of you with other pups :) But don't worry, you'll get clients soon. Try advertising on CL and NextDoor. That sure helped me too.
Is craigslist charging 5.00 now? Did you get charged?
I wasn't aware of that. I use the PET section, not services.
