Do overnights include next day care?

I am booked to stay over two nights for a client. I understood this as staying over Friday and Saturday, leaving Sunday morning. Client expects me to stay/check in Sunday and feed the dog dinner, since they won't be back until night. The booking has me only getting paid for two overnights. Shouldn't I be getting paid for my Sunday work?

What time did the job start? That's the most relevant question. House sitting, like boarding, is pet care for up to 24 hours per "nightly" charge. Anything over should be subject to an additional charge although I usually give clients a couple of hours leeway. However, you need to find out the start and end times at the beginning, so that you can adjust any booking invoice before it is paid.

BTW, if you started the house sitting job Friday night, then the two nights paid would certainly cover pet care up to Sunday evening.

If it's already booked, you'd be better off to chalk this up to a learning experience and just fulfill it as booked. When they return, you can choose to let them know next time they book you, that the booking is supposed to be for 24 hour periods and if over that much a small cost adjustment will apply for additional time. They may be inclined to tip you, give a great review, refer you, and/or book you again.

For future reference, before booking, ask the approximate start and end times. Then, you can figure out if a cost adjustment should apply to the booking. So, if you started this job Friday about dinner time, and it ended Sunday with dinner, that would e two nights. If it started much earlier or ended later, yes a cost adjustment should have been applied before booking.

How do you apply a cost adjustment? And how do u determine the amount you should charge per hour over the time limit ?

Dropping off 8am & picking up a week later at 330 pm that’s 7 Additional hours

Cost Adjustment is the last line/at the bottom of the booking quote before you see book it now. From pending requests, you need to open it up to start booking it, it goes to another window and that's where you'd see cost adjustment. Yes, 24 hours means 8am come =8 am (poss.10) go. Extra 7 hrs=more.
