Does anyone have any tips on getting started?

Hello Eveyone, I'm new to rover and I'm having a difficult time attracting clients. I've made sure to fill out everything on my sitter profile, I've ordered some Business cards (still waiting on those to come in), and have lowered my prices. I am only offering dog sitting, walking, and drop ins at the moment. Should I consider offering the other service to attract more clients? How long does it usually take to get your first client? Thank you!

1) I see you don't offer boarding, it is the most popular service on Rover 2) Your calendar only shows you are available Saturday and Sunday, this limits your ability to attract clients, as many owners take long weekends Friday through Monday or full weeks off - if you can open up your availability it will surely help. 3) You should take the Rover 101 quiz and get the badge - it is important 4) your profile would benefit by having more dog photo's 5) ask more friends and family to write a testimonial for you - it helps 6) I searched your area and other than 2 sitters most others have very few reviews, looks to me the 2 have been Rover sitters for some time and have captured a lot of the local area - but don't get discouraged 7) I would think about creating and posting tear-off flyers on local bulletin boards like libraries, Starbucks, pet stores, local Vets as they have proven by many sitters to be helpful 8) join local facebook groups that will allow you to post your Rover business - best of luck

Make sure to always update your calendar so people can check your availability. Also I’d suggest on taking the Rover 101 course as the completion badge will help in your search ranking. You can also consider sharing your profile on sites like Facebook, Craigslist Etc. There is a lot of factors that play into getting clients. These include how many other sitters are in your immediate area, the demand for the services you provide, your availability, and even the timing. Maybe send out some testimonial requests so that you can have a few reviews visible on your profile.
