Can a couple, living in one household, sharing one pet, have separate Rover accounts?

Hello All!

I am fairly new and want to make sure that I am doing everything appropriately. So, with that being said, I started Rover and just absolutely love it! My partner was in the house for the boardings I took on and decided to set up a personal, seperate account. My question is, can a couple, living in the same household, sharing one pet, have seperate Rover accounts? I have seen many people just set up one account, but I was thinking that having two accounts is better as the client can see that each individual person has undergone a background check.

Thank you!

Laci

I'm not sure having two profiles would accomplish what you are attempting because when a client searches for a sitter in their area they're pulled up a map and a list of names, meaning they may not notice that two sitters are pinned at the same spot on the map (or if they do they might think you two are neighbors). From the client's point of view they are likely to think it's just you (or just your partner) and be unaware of the second person involved until the meet and greet (or the first chat conversation). However, you could potentially get double the work, since someone might like their profile better than yours, or yours better than theirs.

That being said, I'm totally jealous. I'd love to have a partner to team up with! :)

Hey Laci - many couples decide to have a joint account and background checks are required for everyone on the account. I would believe having two accounts will be more trouble than it's worth is you are sharing the work and clients. Best of luck

Thanks! Our schedules won’t clash due to us working around each other’s, just making sure it wasn’t a forbidden thing on Rover. The ultimate worry I had was, that the customer would look down upon it and think one profile is deficient or what have you..
