How do I add dog walking service charge to the booking if the owner hasn't confirmed on the app?

I'm house sitting with one dog (2 days). The dog needs two walks each day for 30 minutes.

Would this walking service be inclusive of the house-sitting rate ($20 per overnight stay)?

Most sitters provide several walks per day included in their house sitting rate. Bookings are inclusive of the service selected, so if you have a booking for house sitting you cannot directly add walks to it. If you feel you want an additional fee to walk the dogs you can do it one of two ways. You can edit the booking using the cost adjustment in the booking or you can ask the client to create a new booking for the walks. A new booking gives you the event in your today screen on the App, you can then start the event and send a Rover card. With a cost adjustment, you just get paid. Best of luck

Walt gives some great advice.

The way I look at house sitting, especially for dogs, is you are taking care of them completely during that time. That (most of the time) means food, water AND exercise. Dogs need to burn off energy so if I were an owner I would assume playing with and walking the dog were included in house sitting.

So, you should consider upping the amount you charge per day to be more inclusive of what you want to make for your services or you need to be very clear prior to the booking that walks would be additional.

Hope that helps!

Thank you, this is very helpful. What I have been doing is using the cost adjustment that Walt suggested. But what I'll have to do now, to make it easier, is increasing the amount that I charge so that it's all inclusive for dogs. I will do the same for cats.
